New to chess? No problem!
Our Bootcamp for Beginners is designed for absolute first-timers — no experience needed! In this fun, play-based session, kids learn how the pieces move, get to play real games, and start to see patterns and possibilities. The goal is simple: help every child feel confident, curious, and excited to play again.
- Suitable for ages 4+
- One-day, 2-hour or 4-hour sessions
- Takes place at community hubs
- Parents welcome to observe or support
- Each child receives a Chess Kidding certificate

Private coaching is ideal for children seeking personalised support. Whether your child is a beginner who learns best one-on-one or an advanced player with ambitious goals, our coaches tailor each session to your child’s unique pace and path.

Fees:
R450.00 per session (1 hour)
R1600.00 per month (4 sessions)
R3500.00 for 10 sessions (valid for 2 months)
Transport fees (for in-person sessions) are calculated from Wits Sturrock Park and communicated upfront.

Held at Wits Sturrock Park, our group sessions create a collaborative environment where kids learn, compete, and grow through chess — and friendship.
